Gondor

The second of the two great Dúnedain kingdoms founded in Middle-earth by Elendil after the Downfall of Númenor, the other being Arnor in the north. Gondor lies west of Mordor and north of the Bay of Belfalas. Osgiliath on the Anduin served as the Gondorian capital until T.A. 1640, when the throne is moved to Minas Anor due to the desolation caused by the Dark Plague.
